The book reflects on 1616 / arita japans’ rich 400-year history of craftsmanship and how it has been brought into the contemporary design scene by Noriyuki Momota in close collaboration with Creative Director and Designer Teruhiro Yanagihara. The collection of 1616 / arita japan is presented in its full and the porcelain makers are portrayed. As a chapter 16 artists from different fields were invited to give their personal views on a chosen plate by 1616 / arita japan.
