Tokoname-yaki teapots were traditionally constructed using red clay. However, the introduction of new clay varieties has opened up avenues for diverse designs. The kyusu, incorporating a stainless steel fine mesh tea strainer, is well-suited for the brewing of deep-steamed tea.
