Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Kubota embarked on her ceramic journey after completing her studies at the Tochigi Prefectural Ceramic Technology Center in 2014.
Under the tutelage of Mr. Minoru Suzuki in the same year, followed by Mr. Akio Nukaga in 2016, she honed her craft. In 2017, Kubota took a significant step by establishing her own kiln in Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture.Her artworks, born from continuous experimentation with glaze and clay combinations, are celebrated for their captivating gradations of flowing glazes and distinctive matte textures.
Kubota's philosophy, centered on achieving a harmonious balance of aesthetics and comfort, shines through in her creations.
